Edoardo Fioravanti

Edoardo Fioravanti

Edoardo is a born and raised Florentine with a palate to follow. He is at heart a purist with a traditional Tuscan taste for one hundred percent single varietals, only in big, aged barrels and generally Sangiovese.

He lives with a drive to teach those who think they don’t like wine that they have never really tried it until they have experienced Italian wines… even though they may not know it yet.

Edoardo feels lucky everyday that he has chosen a career path that allows him to meet the people, see the places and do the work he truly has a passion for.

He hopes that with every glass of wine and with each moment taking in the atmosphere of Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina clients will feel all that is his dream and passion for wine and therefore his life.

Manuele Giovanelli

Manuele Giovanelli

After several years of work experience in prestegious restaurants and hotels in Florence, Manuele is finally realizing his dream of owning his own enoteca. With the opening of Pitti Gola e Cantina he delves into the world of wine.

His enthusiasm for his profession stems from his desire to profoundly understand everything about the world of wine, from the earth that nourishes the vines to the wine that fills your glass. The Sangiovese grape is his passion; a grape that continues to move him more every day. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as this is the grape of the famous Chianti Classico.

Organization, courtesy and eagerness make Manuele a person who caters to his clients curiosities and questions about anything that has to do with wine. He truly enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for wine with his customers. Furthermore, he takes great pride in the operations of the wine bar and is committed to not only serving his clients amazing wines, but also imparting his vast knowledge of the world of wine in a humble and meaningful way.

“To work with sincerity and joy you need to share a sense of team spirit with your colleagues and co-workers, which brings respect and attention to your clients. It’s the little things that can amply repay the physical fatigue and constant preoccupation with my business, such as when I help a client to gain a deeper understanding of wine and see that they are able to better appreciate and enjoy the wine I have poured for them or when a client understands the real significance of our enoteca – it’s not just for the sake of tourists but for the love of wine.”

Zeno Fioravanti

Zeno Fioravanti

Zeno is the youngest member of the Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina family but is by no means to be underestimated. He was born and raised here in Florence and is proud to be able to offer through the enoteca a higher level of knowledge and quality to the winebars of his hometown.

He particularly enjoys sangiovese and nebbiolo, only those traditionally produced in big barrel. He is drawn by the quality that these wines hold and the way that when you drink either you can truly taste the essence of Italy in your glass.

Zeno loves an evening when he can host clients as he would guests in his own home. When he can let them relax and offer samples of dishes that he enjoys to eat and wines that are truly his passion. He takes pride in offering information not only about the taste of the wines to clients but about the story of the winery and the people who have created its history.

Zeno is known for creating a comradery with his clients, drinking along with them, as it is a pleasure for him. He often keeps in touch with clients over the years, with many of which he has developed a continued friendship based on a shared love of the great wines of Italy. He considers his to be the greatest job in the world, one where he can share his knowledge and enjoy the wines he loves daily.
